The New Smile Fund
Help Me Get My New Smile
I’ve spent years hiding my smile. Living with Stage 4 Sarcoidosis has taken a lot from me, and I don’t want it to take my confidence too. Step one of this mission is my own dental implant surgery, so I can stand in front of the camera and in front of a crowd again, and smile without thinking twice.
Once I’m there, step two is paying it forward: part of what this music earns will go toward helping people who can’t afford dental care get their confidence back. Nobody should feel ashamed of their smile.

Why this matters
What I’m Up Against
Sarcoidosis since 2014
It started as hard, marble-like lumps in my legs. Today it’s in my eyes, lungs, spleen, liver, and now my heart. Prednisone is pretty much the only thing that keeps it in check, and it tends to make me sick.
Years of dry mouth
For about three years I lived with constant cotton mouth and felt lethargic all the time. Talking for more than a few minutes left me completely drained.
Singing comes at a cost
My doctors say I shouldn’t be singing at all. I can’t breathe in deeply, and recording my last cover I just about fainted in the studio. So I use vocal modeling technology trained on my own voice to help capture the emotion my body can’t always deliver.
Living on borrowed time
Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, so I want to get as many songs out into the world as I can. It’s not about money or fame. I just want to put out good music that helps others.
